United Open Bible Missions is a place of worship located in western Skokie. UOBM is an offshoot of the Pentecostal church and was begun in the early 1930s. Some of the hallmarks of the faith include a belief in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, with speaking in tongues being a manifestation of that gift. This worship center is one of over 300 in the United States.
