Veteran Acres Park offers a host of recreational opportunities.Two picnic shelters with tables can be reserved for parties or groups.Sports facilities include several playing fields, like the Mary Peacock softball field and the Frank Repp baseball field, with a concession stand, lighted tennis courts and basketball courts.Restrooms are available near the concession stand.There are also several walking paths and trails in Sterne's Woods and a fishing pier.During the winter, the pond is used for ice skating, and sledding and cross-country skiing trails are available. Veteran Acres also features buildings for the Nature Center, Rotary Club and a warming center.
