The City of Oceanside has six resource centers.The police department operates the police beach facility, the downtown resource center and this main headquarters located in the Mission Douglas Shopping Center. The headquartersis home to the traffic department, the court offices and the crime dispatch center for emergencies. The police department also supports a senior volunteer program that assists community members with preparing crime reports and other police-related matters. The senior volunteers will take reports for crimes such as car burglaries and vandalism incidents. Residents can also obtain crime-prevention information at this office, whichworks in tandem with the military police of neighboring Camp Pendleton.
