The Dorothy Hart Community Center houses the administrative offices of the Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation & Public Facilities department. The Community Center has several classrooms for rent. Desk staff are on hand to handle questions on facility and field rental. The Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Department offers a diverse range of activities for the public to enjoy.
Jewish Community Center of North Virginia is a diverse center with a variety of programs. It offers sports, fitness, aquatics, arts and culture, special needs, adult services and Jewish life and learning. The center has programs, activities and services that focus on the Jewish lifestyle. Jewish Community Center of North Virginia has a licensed pre-school and day camp, fitness programs and activities for all ages. It has been providing services for more than 30 years.
The Freeman Store and Museum is located in downtown Vienna on Church Street between Mill Street and Dominion Road. It has a museum on the top (second) floor showing how Vienna residents would have lived in the 1800's. The lower level of the building is a general store with candy, old-fashioned toys and gifts, Vienna souvenirs and general merchandise. The building was made in 1859 by Abram Lydecker. Anderson Freeman bought the property in 1874.
Greenbriar Community Center is home to Pleasant Valley Preschool, as well as New Hope Fellowship.
Pleasant Valley Preschool is a nonprofit cooperative preschool. The school is fully licensed and accredited with a maximum enrollment of 16 children per class. Half-day learning programs are offered for children ages three to five.
New Hope Fellowship is part of Wesleyan Church and is led by Pastor Pat Deevers. Their mission is to serve the poor and homeless in the community.

Fredericksburg Children's Academy is the self-proclaimed "Harvard of daycares." This Ferry Road facility features more than 13,000 square feet of learning space, four playgrounds, and an indoor play area. FCA is open daily from 6am to 6:20pm for parents' convenience.
Convergence is a Christian congregation and arts collective located on North Quaker Lane in Alexandria. The community offers worship services, studio space for artists, classes and workshops, art exhibits and more.
The Southgate Community Center, operated by Fairfax County and the Reston Association, is a a 7,700-square-foot complex that serves the many minority and underserved residents nearby.
The center provides recreational facilities, such as outdoor basketball and tennis. The new facility opened in 2006.
There are many afterschool and educational events at the center.

The Prince William Islamic Center on Mathis Avenue is a family-oriented facility for Muslims in Northern Virginia. The center provides daily congregational prayers, Jummah prayers, Tafseer, Seerah and Hadith lectures, weekend Arabic/Qur'anic school and various youth recreational activities.

American Legion Post 180 is a veterans association that works closely with the community. It holds numerous events and support services including entertainment events, community programs, work with Boy Scouts and much more. The location also offers a hall for rentals for all types of parties, including family occasions, business events and more. Located south of Route 50 next to Falls Church High School, Providence RECenter is part of the Fairfax County Park Authority. Members can take advantage of its facilities, which include a heated indoor pool, two spas, saunas, shower and locker rooms, three racquetball and wallyball courts and a fitness center that features a FitLinxx circut, over 20 cardiovascular machines and a pilates studio. Providence RECenter offers lessons and classes for members. Additinoally, the center has several multipurpose rooms, an arts and crafts room and a dance studio. Membership passes can be purchased per visit, by month or year or by the number of visits.
