The Hinman Dental Society of Atlanta is the driving force behind the Hinman Dental Meeting. It is the premiere dental convention of the Southern United States. The convention is open to all dental professionals from dentists to periodontists, orthodontists and dental hygienists. The convention is held once a year at the Georgia World Congress Center and Omni Hotel. The first Hinman meeting dates back to 1911, when Dr. Thomas P. Hinman gathered fellow professionals with the intention of continuing dental education.

Christ Church Episcopal welcomes everyone. The church offers two services on Sunday—the first in English and the second in Spanish. A youth center academy is located on-site for parents who wish to enroll their children. A thrift store and church office are located next to the church, both open to the public (not just members). People can even stop by and enjoy their lunch at the picnic tables on site. Bible study classes are also available.

CBS Atlanta went on the air on June 6, 1971. It was then part of the Christian Broadcasting Network and its call letters were WHAE-TV, which stood for "Heaven And Earth." Throughout the years, the station has changed owners and modified its programming.
Christ United Methodist Church is located on Woodstock Road at Bowen Road, and was originally chartered in 1969. It is currently presided over by Rev. Keith Lawder, who joined in June 2008. Christ United is a welcoming congregation, and anyone can join. The church has experienced fast growth over the years, but its staff and members want it to keep the intimacy of a small congregation even as it addresses the needs of a larger flock.
