It holds two services on Sunday and has various small group meetings throughout the week.  The church grounds are beautifully maintained and it has a playground for small children to the side of the church.

Parkway Presbyterian is a "confessing church" that offers ministries to men, women and youth.  There is a playground in the back of the church for the children.  A beautiful round-a-bout is located in the front of the church and a beautiful foyer welcomes all guests to the sanctuary.

Berean Baptist Church is located on the corner of Highway 9 and Majors Road. It offers Sunday school for children and adults on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Its Sunday morning worship service is at 11 a.m., and its Sunday evening service is at 6 p.m. It also has a Bible study on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. The church has two vans for member trips and Bible school.

Sts. Raphael, Nicholas & Irene Greek Orthodox Church has been in the community since 1999 but recently acquired more grounds and erected a new building. It has regular church services and an outreach to the community. The yellow building is located right off Bethelview Road. Plenty of parking is available. It hosts a Greek Orthodox Festival every spring.

Place of Forsyth County, Inc A 2010 recipient of a "Grant to Green Assessment Award" from Southface and The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. About Us The Place is a nonprofit Social Service Organization that has been serving Forsyth County families in difficult times since 1975 with emergency basic needs. The Place also operates a thrift store onsite providing affordable merchandise, all sales support agency operations. Residents in need of assistance should call the program office 770-887-1098 for an appointment. You will learn what information and documentation you are required to bring to your scheduled appointment. These documents are critical for the caseworker to determine the best way to assess your needs Each year our work expands to ensure that we are able to assist the growing population and changing needs of our residents. The Place has provided emergency basic needs in Forsyth County since its inception. We operate through the financial support received from our donors, grants, thrift store sales and the United Way of Forsyth County and donations are critical to our survival. We also rely on many dedicated volunteers to help us carry out our vital mission. More than ever before our programs depend on your monetary and in-kind donations. Donations provide the resources to assist Forsyth County residents in their time of need. Your help is urgently needed to ensure that our Food Pantry will be able to meet the increased needs this year. Food Program: includes our Surplus pantry, Food pantry, Wednesday Noon Day Meals, and monthly Senior Luncheons. Our objective is to ensure that no one goes hungry.

Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church is located just off Lake Lanier next to a bird sanctuary. Sunday worship service is at 11am.  Come early for Sunday School for all ages at 9:45am and stay for coffee fellowship hour immediately following worship. Deer Creek also provides a weekday preschool for ages two to five years. This program enhances their social, cognitive, physical and spiritual abilities. Contact the Preschool Director, Lori Shoffeitt, for more information.

The Good Shepherd Catholic Church has had its roots in Forsyth county since 1975.  The parish has reached more than 3,700 congregants. It has have several programs for men, women and youth, and one  of the outreach programs, Cooking Angels, delivers food to other parishioners who are in need. 

There are specialized programs for toddlers in creative arts and physical exercise. Good Shepherd has plans for a new ministry to reach the community of the unemployed.

Cumming Fairgrounds hosts county fairs, festivals and during the summer season, a farmer's market. Among these events are the IPRA World Champion Rodeo, the annual Steam and Gas Engine Expo, community yard sales and free concerts.  There is also a farming village that demonstrate the functions of a cotton gin and corn and syrup mills. A huge parking lot is available across the street. Please refer to the website for the events calender.

The YMCA Forsyth is in a new building to the back of Vickery Village, off of Post Road.  It offers fitness equipment, personal training and classes for adults and children.  You can work out with its free weights, strength machines, spin cycles, treadmills, treadwalkers, ellipticals or stair climbers.  Classes are scheduled throughout the day and include yoga, spinning, step, Corepole and Zumba.  The schedule changes every 6 to 8 weeks.  Depending on the time of year, children can do gymnastics, soccer, swim lessons, or basketball.  Child care is available in the mornings and late afternoons in a clean and friendly daycare to kids 6 weeks and up.  After school care is also available for kids at Vickery Creek.  There is a pool with lap lanes, a hot tub and sauna.  Family dressing rooms are available.

Conveniently located west of Georgia 400 on Keith Bridge Road in Cumming, this park, built in 2001, includes 85 acres of fields, trails and woods. From soccer fields to softball fields, tennis courts to a 27-hole disc golf course, Central Park has something for people of all ages. Additionally, the park features a mountain biking trail, playground, picnic pavilion and walking/running trails. You'll also notice the North Precinct of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and the Central Park Recreation Center located within the park.

Lanier United Methodist Church has active singles and seniors fellowship groups, and men's, youth and support group ministries, including a grief and loss group.  It offers weekly bible study sessions, and is active in local missions, including a food bank, Samaritan's Purse, Jesse's House and Whispering Hope.  Lanier United Methodist shares its facilities with the Korean Church of Cumming.

There are 44 sites with electric and water hookups and 11 sites without hookups. Additional amenities include hot showers, laundry facilities, a boat ramp, playground, a dump station and a swimming area.

Joy of All Who Sorrow is a Russian Orthodox church. There is a new building on the horizon and ground has been broken. All services are delivered in Church Slavonic and in English. The church sponsors a great number of events and activities. It also offers the only Russian language program for alcoholics in Georgia.
