The Division of Public Safety works to protect, preserve and enhance the health, life, property and safety of all people served by providing effective emergency medical, fire, emergency communications, emergency management, forensic science, and juvenile and adult correction services. It is responsible for administering the Sedgwick County Drug Court Program. The division also works to offer prevention, mitigation, and recovery services for emergency events. The Division of Public Safety is responsible for offering life and property saving techniques 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It also works to plan, prepare and coordinate emergencies and hazards. The division is governed by Sedgwick County in Kansas.
