It develops various empowerment programs that focus on skill development. The community center is a settlement house for the areas immigrants and refugees, including Somalis, Chicanos, Latinos, Southeast Asians and Russians. Its life skills center prepares adults more than 16 years of age for work through general education development and college trade examination preparation, tutoring and citizenship classes.
