The Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area is located at a height of more than 3,300 feet in Hesperia, Calif. Its campground has more than 100 family sites, each with a table, barbecue grill, fire ring and restrooms with showers. The park has a marina with a launching ramp, boat and equipment. The Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area offers Wi-Fi services that enable park visitors to access Internet on laptop computers and personal digital assistants.

The Holden Arboretum, founded in 1931 and located in Willoughby, Ohio, has more than 3,500-acre of display gardens, horticultural collections and nature trails. It has a wide range of plants and gardens, a library, museum store and plant database. The museum has various gardens that include Display, Butterfly, Wildflower, Helen S. Layer Rhododendron and Blueberry Pond Area Gardens. It has a themed plant collection that includes several plants, such as alders, arbor vitae and false cypress, ashes, conifers and flowering crabapples. This swimming and fishing pond is part of the Blue Hills Reservation that's operated by the Department of Conservation and Recreation. The pond itself is 24-acres wide and up to 42 feet deep. Seasonally, there is stocked fishing, supervised swimming, a concession pavilion and visitor's center. Surrounding the pond is a playground, ball fields and available hiking as part of the Reservation's 125 miles of trails. Supervised swimming is open in July and August from 10am to 6pm daily.
