Located next to Sigurd Olson School, Wildwood Park offers walkways and trails, playground equipment, a basketball court, two tennis courts, two softball fields, game squares, picnic tables, and a sun shelter. Free parking is available on the street or at the adjacent school.
Homes are in close proximity to this park, but it's a valuable space for children to play because it doesn't require them to cross busy Blake Street.
It offers a modern playground for young children. Older children and adults can enjoy the basketball courts and soccer field.
The park is hard for passing drivers to see. It can be accessed by the first alley south of Oxford Street, on the east side of Blake Street.
Carver Lake Park is a large community park located off Century Avenue on the city's western edge. There are a number of unique features of the park, most notably an archery range. There is also a large beach at Carver Lake, with concessions in season, though residents should note that there is no lifeguard on duty. There is lots of open space and a large parking lot, and there are also grills, a pavilion, volleyball courts and playgrounds.
Holz Farm Park is located on Manor Drive, just south of Cliff Road. This park offers a baseball diamond, community garden, playground basketball court and a small lake. The barn is also rentable for graduations and family reunions during the summer months. The barn can accomodate up to 80 people with a special discount to Eagan residents for a full day rental.
Kelley Park is located between Galaxie and Foliage Avenues, just south of 153rd Street in the south central part of Apple Valley. The park is one of Apple Valley's newest and is dedicated to the late Rick Kelley, who was the city planner and community development director from 1978 to 2005. The park has stairs leading up a hill to lots of playground equipment and other areas where children can be active. It is the only park in Apple Valley with large sprinklers and a splash pad, according to the parks and recreation department.
Taft Park is located in the far northeast corner of Richfield, behind the Cedar Point Commons retail development. This large neighborhood park and sports complex comprises more than 40 acres and features four lighted softball fields and a lighted football/soccer field. The park also has a view of the lake, walking paths, basketball court, tennis courts, playground area and hockey and pleasure rinks. Open land also serves as a great picnicking area.
Pine Point Regional Park is a serene nature area with pine forests, lakes, marshes and five miles of multi-trails for biking, hiking, running, bird watching, cross-country skiing and horseback riding. This park also has a picnic shelter and restroom. Pine Point Regional Park is located on Norell Avenue near Myerun Road.
The Roseville Skating Center houses an indoor ice arena, outdoor skate park (the Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL) and multi-purpose banquet and meeting facilities. The skating center offers skating lessons, public skating, open hockey and speed skating.
