City Dock Park is a public space open daily. It features a dock that overlooks a river and fishing is permitted.
This park is home to the Woodbridge Little League, hiking trails, soccer fields and a water park. This expansive park, which has a view of the water, also includes a small skateboarding park. The community center is open year-round with a variety of activies for children of all ages. Picnic areas can be rented for private events.
Alum Springs Park is a small, wooded park near the intersection of Alum Springs Road and Jefferson Davis Highway. It holds a playground for kids, and maintains a system of unpaved hiking trails. The trails follow a quietly babbling stream and up rocky outcroppings. Motorists, be warned: All vehicles must cross a small stream to gain access to the larger inner parking lot.
Memorial Park (a.k.a. Kenmore Park) features eight tennis courts, six of which are lighted from dusk until 10 p.m. It also features a youth soccer field, children's and toddler's play areas, basketball court and tennis practice wall.
The grounds at Sully Historic Site served as the country home for Richard Bland Lee, northern Virginia's first congressman, back in the late 18th century. The house was built in 1794 on land that Lee inherited from his father. The inheritance also included livestock and 29 slaves, who operated the farm. Tours of the plantation are available Wednesday through Monday except on some holidays.
