The local Christian Science Church began in 1897 in Bridgeport. In 1958, the First and Second Churches of Christ, Scientist, Bridgeport, merged, and in 2007, the church moved to its Stratford location on Main Street. Programs include Sunday worship, Bible lessons, testimony readings and study. The Reading Room features literature about Christian Science and its founder, Mary Baker Eddy.

First Baptist Church of Stratford has a long history in the town beginning in 1877 when a small congregation met at the home of Sarah Talbot, then at the Old Academy School. Many years later, a church was built at Stratford Avenue and Johnson Court. The first pastor was Rev. George W. Fowlkes. In the 1950s, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. William O. Johnson, this church was constructed. Pastor Johnson served for 43 years and retired in 1997. In January 1998, Rev. William B. Sutton, III, became pastor.
St. Stephen was the first Roman Catholic church in town and the first built on upper Main Street, according to Trumbull: Portrait of a Connecticut Town. The church also offers religious education.
It was a mission church of St. Rose's of Newtown, and had a hitching post, the book states. A hurricane destroyed the first building in 1950, and a new one was dedicated in the same year.

St. Theresa Parish is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport. The parish's original church was built in 1934 and later underwent renovation, which completed in 1962. St. Theresa's offers religious-oriented education and has operated its own school since 1955. Fr. Brian P. Gannon is the pastor.
Messiah EV Lutheran Church Wels originally came from Wisconsin. Several years ago, its congregation opened up this parish in South Windsor. They hold services and education every Sunday. If you are interested in joining this parish, call or visit its website for more information.
St. George Albanian Orthodox Church, which organized in 1925, was the first to offer Orthodox church services in the Albanian language in Bridgeport, Conn. Its early services were held in the chapel of Saint John Episcopal Church. After several moves, the church was consecrated on its current Trumbull site in 1980. Rev. Sergei Bouteneff has been the pastor since 1989. All services are in English with a 3 to 5 percent response in Albanian from the choir.
D. J. Evans is the pastor at New Life. In addition to regular morning Sunday services, the church offers a "604" service on Sunday nights and a prayer meeting and Bible study at 7pm on Tuesdays. New Life moved to Trumbull in 1982. The church also has campuses in Derby and Bridgeport.
Unitarian Society of Hartford welcomes individuals of all faiths and hosts religious education programs, Sunday services and group ministries. Child care services are provided.
