The Cordova Church of the Nazarene, built in 1963, predates many of the surrounding houses and shopping centers. Its congregation of about 130 people holds two Sunday morning services and Wednesday night study groups that include youth activities, drama classes and discussion groups. Church of the Nazarene missionaries are spread across the world, and locally the church provides groceries to needy families each month and free meals every Wednesday night. Pastor Steve Murakami is in his eighth year at the church and previously was a pastor in Hawaii.
Chinese Immanuel Church began in the 1980s as a group of people meeting in members' homes and has since expanded to the current warehouse-style facility in an industrial area on Harlin Drive. Sunday morning services are conducted in English and Mandarin. Sunday school is available for several different age groups. Sunday morning service starts at 9:30am.
Emmanuel Baptist Church, located on Kiefer Boulevard near Huntsman Drive, is a small church with two weekly services and plenty of parking. The grounds are well-maintained, and the church is centrally located near stores and other places of worship.
The Elevation of the Holy Cross Orthodox Church, a parish of the Orthodox Church in America, is located on Jackson Road just east of Watt Avenue.
The church meets twice on Sundays and once on Saturdays. It also holds a monthly brunch in downtown Sacramento to meet with Orthodox Christians from other churches.
