Smashbox Studios is a production and photography company with studios in West Hollywood. The West Hollywood location alone has five studios. Its largest, the Big Box, is 4000 sq ft in size.
Souncheck Studios is located near Lankershim Boulevard and specializes in rental space designed for audio recording. In addition, the studios also has space for rehearsals and stages for filming. There are 20 rooms available, some of which have0 24-hour access. Some equipment can also be provided, including lighting and closed-circuit television monitoring. Other features include free Wi-Fi access, heating and air conditioning, and gated parking.
Stage One is a rehearsal and recording studio located along Terra and La Cadena drives. The small storefront entrance is located next to Mask Manufacturing. The studios are available for rent and are charged for by the session. Studios are located on two levels of floor space that occupy the entire building. One of the highlights of this studio is its Showcase Room, where you can find a stage setup and over 6,000 watts of power to record with. Classes are offered in Pro Tools, and lessons are given by experienced engineers.
Studio Instrument Rentals (S.I.R.) is the largest, best equipped full-service musical equipment rental and production facility in the industry. Its rehearsal rosters are a who's who of the music industry with artists like Miley Cyrus, Queen Latifah, Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry, Jane's Addiction, KISS and many more. Its production services can accommodate any size event from the House of Blues to the Staples Center. Its studio equipment is currently being used on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel, Ellen Degeneres and many others. AMP is a music rehearsal and recording studio located along Lankershim Boulevard. The large facility features multiple recording studios and several spaces for rehearsal. All studio space is equipped with Pro Tools, Garage Band, Mac Computers and Internet access, which is all covered in the rental fee. Studios are smaller, but provide great sound and enough space to accommodate most bands and all instruments. The space is two levels, and includes a tracking room, as well rentable rigs, amps, keyboards and more. Credit cards are accepted and parking is metered on the street.
