The Friends of Elizabeth Park is a non-profit organization that provides support for Elizabeth Park, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is home to a well known rose garden. Salmon Brook Park is a 116-acre public park and recreation area just south of Granby Center. The main entrance to the Park is located on Salmon Brook Street with a second entrance on West Granby Road.  

The Park is host to a variety of sporting events and a free summer concert series called the "Sounds of Summer". There is also a man-made pond open from mid-June until the end of August. Near the Park entrance visitors can find a memorial Veteran's Wall dedicated to the military men and women of Granby.

Dedicated in September 2000, the Town Campus Playground is designed to be used by children five to twelve years old. The playground was created with the help of the Philip Picard family, in memory of Philip Picard, along with the Madison Newcomers Club, the Corey Erskine Memorial Foundation, the Pre K-Kindergarten PTQ, the Board of Education Modular Pre K-Kindergarten Project, Emily R. Vancil and Lenny and Joe's Fishtale.

The playground is conveniently located next to the town tennis courts, which are reserved for the use of town residents and their guests. Playing time should be limited to one hour when people are waiting.

The 50 meter Olympic-size all-season community swimming pool is one of only seven in the state. The all-accessible playground was built by community volunteers.
