The Weber Fire District, founded in 1982 and located in Ogden, Utah, was created by the Weber County Commissioners and was originally known as the Weber County Fire Department. The department provides emergency fire and medical services to cities of Farr West, Hooper, Huntsville, Marriott-Slaterville and West Haven, Utah. It covers a geographical area of more than 500 square miles with a population of over 33,000. It provides various educational programs for preventing burn injuries related to eyes, burns, heat and cold emergencies, and treating cases of poisoning, electrical injuries, cuts, scrapes and severe bleeding. The fire department also offers firefighter and emergency medical technician training that includes emergency and basic training.
