Trautwein Elementary School is part of the Mehlville School District and serves students in grades K-5. There are 524 students enrolled at the school and the principle is Donna Wagener. Trautwein opened in 1964 and underwent extensive renovation in 2002. During the renovation, Trautwein Elementary added a computer lab and high-speed networking capabilities. Trautwein is an Accelerated School, meaning it complies with the processes and philosophy of the Accelerated Schools community in terms of curriculum, instruction and school organization.
St. Paul's Lutheran School is committed to sharing Christ's love and providing an environment and opportunity for students to develop their God-given potential -- spiritually, academically, physically, emotionally and socially. Students from K-8 attend this school. Its staff is comprised of 18 teachers. There are approximately 215 students, of which 85 percent are members of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Burroughs' students win admission to schools from the Ivy Leagues to Stanford in the west. The school has seven separate buildings, situated on 17 acres of land in the center of the community. Eighty percent of the faculty has advanced degrees.
As part of a nationwide network of Barbizon schools, this location in Clayton schools young women in modeling and acting, helping to build their poise and self-confidence in those areas as well as other areas of their lives. Auditions are regularly held at this center, on Forsyth in downtown Clayton just east of Hanley Road. Above and beyond training, the Barbizon Modeling Center is a talent agency for its graduates.
The Barbara C. Jordan Elementary School is being rebuilt and upgraded to meet the needs of 21st century students. The new two-story school is set to open in the summer of 2011, with about 380 students, but it has the ability to accommodate 500 students. The new school will have better lighting, bigger classroom spaces and is eco-friendly.
DSAC Gym is located in the Duhnam Student Center at Fontbonne University. The gym is the hub of indoor intramural activity along with intercollegiate competition. The gym also hosts some large-scale events for the university. Call for information on public access.
